We’re building things we think should exist.

Kokoro turns overlooked problems into useful products. Sometimes they’re ours. Sometimes they’re yours.

心集

心 kokoro: heart, mind and spirit, held as one.

集: to gather.

That’s pretty much the idea. Put the human side and the technical side in the same room and see what gets built.

PRODUCTS

What we’re making
right now.

Each one started with a problem that made us both say, “Surely there’s a better way?”

HEALTH EARLY ACCESS

KNOX

Your health, understood.

Your health records are scattered across GPs, specialist letters, portals and emails. KNOX puts them in one encrypted vault, and Athena helps explain what you’re looking at in plain language. No hunting through old PDFs. No trying to remember what that result meant six months ago.

Photo, PDF or screenshot in. Every value extracted in under 30 seconds.

Trends across years, not one result at a time.

Visit briefs. Walk in knowing what to ask.

Zero-knowledge encryption. We can't read your records.

Visit knoxhealth.ai Not a medical device. Does not provide medical advice.

PRACTICE IN TESTING

BECOME

The first six weeks matter.

The first six weeks are where new people either find their feet or quietly disappear. BECOME gives them a bit of structure, a bit of accountability and someone paying attention when they go quiet. Built with Newcastle Aikido, and in use there now.

1 · Begin 2 · Presence 3 · Pressure 4 · Practice 5 · Resilience 6 · Complete

A weekly plan built from the live timetable. Booked classes get stamped.

A journal after every class.

A weekly check-in.

Handbooks and technique videos when you need them.

An employer-funded wallet. Providers are paid only once a service is delivered.

HOW WE WORK

Leis asks the annoying human questions. Grant asks the annoying technical ones.

01

Start with the problem

We don’t start with the technology. Usually it’s something that makes us both say, “Surely there’s a better way?” If we can’t explain the problem in a sentence, we’re not ready to build.

02

Private by default

If it touches your health or your life, privacy isn’t something we bolt on later. We think about it from the start. Where we can build things so we can’t see your data, we do. That’s not a policy. It’s how we build.

03

No startup theatre

No growth hacks. No selling data. No pretending everything is going to “revolutionise” the world. We use AI where it genuinely helps. People still make the decisions.

WHAT A PROJECT LOOKS LIKE

Roughly, it goes like this.

01

The itch

Something isn’t working. For a patient, a member, a team, whoever. We try to write the problem down in one sentence.

02

The human questions

Leis asks who this is actually for, what they’re trying to do, and where the current system gets in their way.

03

The technical questions

Grant asks what needs to happen behind the scenes, what must never leak, and what could break.

04

Build small

A working version in real hands, early. Not six months of building before anyone gets to touch it. Useful over clever.

05

Keep it working

Fix what people trip on. Ship fewer things and keep them running.

Got a problem you can’t leave alone?

THE PEOPLE

Two different ways of looking at the same problem.

Together, we work out what should exist, then build it.

Leis Graham

CO-FOUNDER · CEO · PRODUCT

Leis brings the human side. Years of working with people, communities and wellbeing has given her a pretty good radar for where things don’t quite work. She asks the questions that can be easy to miss when you’re busy building the thing.

Grant Traynor

CO-FOUNDER · CTO

Grant brings the technical side. He has a habit of looking at messy problems and asking, “What if we just built it properly?” Systems engineer, and principal at Pairti.

LET’S TALK

Got something that’s bugging you?

You don’t need to have it figured out. Maybe it’s an idea scribbled in Notes. A process everyone hates. A spreadsheet that somehow became mission-critical. An app that almost works.

It doesn’t need to be a pitch deck. Bring us the messy version, and we’ll work out what’s underneath it.
